Sampling an Evidence Collection

After the Evidence Collection is completed, artifacts collected must be sampled (Method 1 and Method 2). Sampling allows you to select a set number of artifacts from the collection for further evaluation.

  1. Access the Outcomes Assessment tab.
  2. Choose the View Collected Evidence button--the Evidence Collection page is then displayed listing all the projects.

If necessary, scroll down through the list of projects and click on the link for the desired project--the information for that project will then be displayed.

Before Sampling, if desired, you may determine to keep or remove certain Course Assignment Artifacts from the sample by choosing the checkbox beside any Course Assignment in the listing and then either Include in Sampling or Exclude from Sampling via the Manage Evidence selector.

To Sample the Artifacts, click the Sample Artifacts button--the Sample Evidence pop-up window should appear as shown below.

The Sample Evidence pop-up window is where you chose how to Sample the collected Evidence.

Include all Artifacts is the default setting.

Click the Randomly Select Artifacts radio button.

Specify the Total number of artifacts needed or a Minimum number of artifacts needed from each assignment--the Project Page is now shown.

The Project page is displayed now showing the Evidence Collection project created with the list of Artifacts included in the Sample.
