Communicating in a Session

There are multiple ways participants can communicate in a session. To learn how to utilize your microphone and webcam, raise your hand, and chat with others, please follow the steps below.

Using a Microphone

To share your audio, click the Share Audio button at the bottom of the session window. Once your microphone is on, you will see this button turn green. If you have trouble with getting your microphone started, please see the Setting Up a Camera and Microphone guide.

Using a Webcam

To share video of yourself, click the Share Video button at the bottom of the session window. Once your webcam is on, you will see this button turn green. If you have trouble with getting your webcam started, please see the Setting Up a Camera and Microphone guide.

Raising Your Hand

Your instructor may want you to raise your hand if you have a question. To do this, click the Raise Hand button at the bottom of the session window. Once you do so, you will see the color of the button change, along with a number 1 over the button image indicating that your hand is raised. To lower your hand, simply click the Raise Hand button again.
