Adding a Subheader to the Course Menu

A Subheader is a text-only header in the menu, which allows instructors to organize the menu by placing similar links under the subheader.  For example, tools such as the discussion board, blogs, and wikis could be placed under a subheader labeled Communication.

Adding a Subheader, Part 1

To add a Subheader:

  1. Click on the Plus Sign above the course menu
  2. Select Subheader from the menu

A dialog box labeled Add Subheader will now appear on screen:

  1. Name: Enter a name for the subheader here.
  2. When finished, click the Submit button.

The subheader will then appear at the bottom of the menu and can be dragged to the desired location.
