Organizing Content Items on a Page

Updated on

When new content is added to a content area in Blackboard, the content is placed at the bottom of the page by default.  This guide will demonstrate how to reorganize content within a content area in Blackboard.

Organizing Content, Part 1

Image of a Blackboard content area with two items. One Item is highlighted with a yellow bar to the left of the link with a cross-shaped cursor, with an arrow pointing to the item with instructions stating to hover over the link you wish to rearrange.

Log into your Blackboard course and go to the content area that you wish to rearrange.  Hover over the item you wish to reposition and a yellow vertical bar will appear to the left of the item, and the cursor would turn into a cross with arrows on each point.

Organizing Content, Part 2

Click and drag the link to the desired location.  When finished, release your mouse, and the item will be placed in the desired location.
