Achievements allow instructors to gamify their Blackboard courses by creating certificates and bages that students can attain. Additionally, students can share the achievements they've earned with their peers. The Achievements tool allows instructors to create rules for issuing these rewards to students. Within Blackboard, instructors can create three types of achievements:

• Course Completion (requires a certificate; a badge is optional)
• Milestone (badge only)
• Custom (can be either a certificate or a badge)
