This guide will demonstrate how to modify test question settings.

Accessing Question Settings

From an open Test Canvas, click the Question Settings button in the upper right hand corner.

Feedback

  1. Check this option to provide feedback for individual answer choices.

Images, Files and Web Links

  1. Check this button to add images, files, and web links on individual feedback
  2. Check this button to add images, files, and web links to answers

Question Metadata

  1. Check this option to use metadata tagging for questions

Scoring

  1. Specify the default point value per question, or to choose whether to use the default our currently assigned point values when reusing questions from an existing test or pool.
  2. Check this option to enable partial credit options for answers.
  3. Check this option to enable negative scoring for questions to discourage guessing.
  4. Check this option to enable assigning extra credit to questions.

Display

  1. Select this option to allow the option to randomly organize answer choices.
  2. Select this option to specify the orientation of answer choices.
  3. Select this option to specify the numbering options for answers.
  4. When finished, click the Submit button to save changes.
