If a student exits an exam without submitting when using Respondus, students will be prompted to provide a rationale for exiting the exam. This guide will demonstrate how to review Early Exits from Respondus Lockdown Browser.
Reviewing Early Exits in Blackboard Learn Original: Accessing Course Tools
Early exits can be accessed through the Respondus Lockdown Browser Dashboard. To access the dashboard, click on Course Tools and select Respondus Lockdown Browser from the list of available course tools.
Selecting a Test
You will now see a screen labeled Respondus Lockdown Browser Dashboard that lists the tests in your Blackboard Course. To access early exits for an exam, click on the button to the left of the test name you wish to view (1), and choose Review Early Exits (2)
Reviewing Early Exits
You will now see a list of students with early exits, the time and date for the exit, and the students' provided rationales for early exits. When you are finished, click the Close button to exit and return to the dashboard.
Reviewing Early Exits in Blackboard Learn Ultra: Accessing Exam Options
In Learn Ultra, the Lockdown Browser Dashboard can be found in the test settings. To access the test settings, click on the title for the test you would like to edit.
Click on the cog icon in the Assessment Settings panel in the upper right corner to access the dashboard.
Under the Assessment Security heading, click on the Respondus Lockdown Browser Dashboard link. This link will open the Lockdown Browser Dashboard where you can apply the settings.

To view early exits:
- Locate the exam you wish to view and click on the button to the left to the test.
- Select Review Early Exits from the menu.
