This guide will demonstrate how to download Echo360 Universal Capture to your personal computer.
Students may not have an Echo360 account, to establish an account instructors will want to Add an Echo Link to their course.
Accessing Echo360 Software Downloads
After logging into the Echo360 Active Learning Platform, software downloads can be accessed using the following method:
- Click on the gear icon
- Select Downloads from the menu.
Downloading Echo360 Universal Capture (Mac)
On the Downloads page, locate Universal Capture: Personal, and select the installer for the type of operating system installed on your computer (Mac/Windows)

Images shown in this section may vary based on the operating system installed on your computer, and what you see may appear differently than the images in this guide.
Your web browser will ask you if you want to open the installer file. Select Run or Save File to get started with the installation process.
Your computer will then ask where you would like to save the installation package. Select a location and click Save to continue.
Open the Echo360 Capture Installer file on your computer, and then open the Install Echo360 Capture (personal) installation package.
Installing the Echo360 Personal Capture, Part 2
The installation wizard will now be open on your Computer. Click Continue to begin the process and follow the prompts as presented.
After completing the installation wizard, the software will be installed. You may now close the installation wizard and launch the Echo360 capture software by searching for the words "Echo360" in which the icon is blue circle with a play button.

Enter your [email protected].
It will take students to the University of Toledo login.
1. Enter your UTAD User ID (first initial, last name, may include a number).
2. Enter your university of Toledo password.
3. Select Sign in.
