This guide will demonstrate how to access alternative formats for files uploaded to Blackboard Learn Ultra courses.
Accessing a Course Document in Learn Ultra Course View
To access alternative formats for a specific course document, you will first want to open the document you wish to view.
Accessing Alternative Formats
There are two ways to access alternative formats in Learn Ultra Course View
- To access alternative formats for the page text and all compatible attached files, click on the A icon at the top of the page.
- To access alternative formats for a specific item, click the A icon to the right of the file name (when available for supported files)
Viewing Alternative Formats
If you clicked the Alternative Formats button at the top of the page, you will then be prompted to select which item you wish to view alternative formats for.
1. Selecting Alternative Formats for the Page Text
Upon selecting alternative formats for the page text, you will see a screen similar to the one above with the following options:
- The name of the content item will appear here.
- Select from one of the available alternative file types: ePub, Electronic Braille, Audio, BeeLIne reader, and Immersive Reader
- Click on the Download button to download the selected alternative file.
Selecting Alternative Formats for an Attached File
When selecting alternative formats for a supported attached file, you will see a screen similar to the one above?
- The name of the attached file will appear here.
- Select from one of the available alternative file types: Tagged PDF, HTML, ePub, Electronic Braille, Audio, BeeLIne reader, and Immersive Reader
- Click on the Download button to download the selected alternative file.
