Updating Passwords for Lockdown Browser

This lesson will demonstrate how to update the password on a test that uses Respondus Lockdown Browser

Launch Respondus and click on the Preview and Publish tab at top.  Click on the Update Settings tab to the left.

  1. From the first drop down menu, select the server you want to access.  The system will then confirm whether you want to make any changes to the server settings. If the settings are correct, choose "Use Current Settings"
  2. Select the course that contains the test you want to update.
  3. Select the appropriate radio button next to exam or survey, and choose the exam/survey you wish to update.
  4. Click the Settings button to select the new settings.

Changing the Password

A dialog box will pop up.  Check the box next to Password Protect, and enter a new password in the space provided.  

When finished, click OK.

Confirming Settings

Click on Publish New Settings.  The settings will now be published to the server.  The Status Bar will inform you when the updates are completed.
