Viewing Content

This guide will demonstrate how to view content and presentations in Echo360.

Accessing your Course List

To access your course list:

  1. Click on the Courses link at the top of the screen.
  2. Select the course from the list you wish to work with.

Entering a Classroom

You will now see all available class sessions or classrooms within the selected course. To enter a classroom, click on the name of the class section you wish to enter.

Using the Video Player

Below is an overview of the Echo360 Video Player:

  1. Exit Classroom: Click on the button in the upper right hand corner to exit the current classroom or to select a different classroom.
  2. Notes: Click this button to open the Notes window. For more details, refer to the Taking Notes guide.
  3. Q & A: Click on the Q & A button to open the Question and Answer Panel
  4. Bookmark: Click on the Bookmark button to bookmark the current location in the video.
  5. Confusion:  Click on the Confusion flag to mark the current segment as confusing.
  6. Play/Pause: Click the Play/Pause button to pause or resume the video.
  7. Go Back 10 Seconds: Click this button to go back 10 seconds in the video.
  8. Volume: Click on this button to adjust the volume.
  9. Playback speed: Click this button to adjust the playback speed to view the video at a faster or slower pace.
  10. Video Quality: Click this button to change between video quality settings (Standard-definition or high-definition)
  11. Full Screen: Click on this button to view the video full screen.
  12. Use the thumbnails to toggle between different video sources (e.g. camera or desktop) and the presentation slides.

To jump to a slide, click on the slide number to bring up the slide selector. Below is an overview of how to navigate a presentation in Echo360: Note: The video will play as a thumbnail while viewing the presentation.

  1. Exit Classroom: Click on the button in the upper right hand corner to exit the current classroom or to select a different classroom.

  3. Q & A: Click on the Q & A button to open the Question and Answer Panel
  4. Bookmark: Click on the Bookmark button to bookmark the current location in the video.
  5. Confusion: Click on the Confusion Flag to flag the current slide as confusing.
  6. Use the arrows to navigate between the slides. To jump to a slide, click on the slide number to bring up the slide selector. Users must manually advance the slides when viewing the presentation live.
  7. Click on the button with the two arrows to view the slideshow in full screen.
  8. Click on the Video thumbnail to view the video.

Responding to an Interactive Activity

You will need to add your phone number to your profile in order for your responses to be counted.4.Click the Submit button at the bottom to submit your response.

In Echo360, you may encounter up to five types of interactive activities. These activities include Multiple Choice questions, Open Response questions, Ordered questions, Image quizzes, and Numerical questions.

  1. The question will appear at the top of the screen.
  2. Select your response from the available choices, or type in your response for an open-ended question.
  3. For some questions, you can text your response by using the code provided. You will need to add your phone number to your profile in order for your responses to be counted.
  4. Click the Submit button at the bottom to submit your response.
