Microsoft Assignments for Blackboard

This article will cover enabling the Assignments application in Blackboard's Microsoft for Education

First step is to Enable Microsoft Education by following that link.

After enabling Microsoft Education, select Open Microsoft Education under Details and Actions.

1. At the top right select where the photo or initials are.

2. Select to drop down to Course Settings.

1. Toggle on Assignments.

2. Select Done.

Using Microsoft Assignments in Blackboard

Once the Microsoft Assignments application is enabled from above, it can be found in the Content Market.

Select the plus sign to select Content Market.

Select Microsoft Education Assignment.

Select the Assignment options out of the list.

1. Enter a title.

2. Provide instructions.

3. Select a due date and time.

4. Enter points.

Please note this will sync up with Blackboard Gradebook and will create a new column that will total points. For more about columns and points, please visit Blackboard Gradebook.

Using Microsoft Teams Class within the Teams app is separate platform from using Microsoft for Education in Blackboard. When an assignment is created in one platform, it does not sync up to the other. Instructors will want to choose one platform for Microsoft Assignment and direct students to where the content will be located.
