Journals provide a space for students to reflect and share course experiences with the course instructor. This guide will demonstrate how to use journals in your Blackboard Learn Ultra course.
Accessing Journals

Journal assignments can be found in your course content. Locate the journal in the appropriate folder, unit or module and then click on the journal link to access it.
Creating a Journal Entry

To post a journal entry:
- At the top of the page, you will see the journal prompt and instructions.
- Use the text box to type your entry.
- Click the Post button to submit your entry
Adding a Comment

- To add a comment to a journal entry, click the Comment link at the bottom of the entry.
- A text box will appear. Enter your comment in the text box.
- Click the Comment button to submit your comment.
