Sharing Collection Content Items

This guide will demonstrate how to share individual content items within a collection.

Accessing Echo360 Collections

To access Collections and manage media in Echo360:

  1. Click on Collections at the top of the page
  2. Hover over the media item you wish to manage

To share a content item in a collection:

  1. Hover over the item you wish to share and click on the menu button [...] in the bottom right corner.
  2. Select Share from the menu.

You will then have the following options for sharing: Link, Embeds, or Classes.

To share a video link:

  1. Click on Embeds in the menu on the left.
  2. Click on the Create Embed button.
  3. Embed: The embed code will appear here. you can click the button to the right of the code to copy the code to the clipboard.
  4. Public Access: The default setting does not require authentication. Turning this off will require users to authenticate with their Echo360 accounts.
  5. Start At: Enter the desired start time for the video link.
  6. Player size: Use the dropdown menu to change the player size.
  7. Autoplay: Use the selector to enable autoplay.
  8. Automute: Use the selector to enable automute.
  9. Description: Add a description of the link here.
  10. When finished, click the Done button

To share to an Echo360 section classroom

  1. Select Classes from the menu on the left.
  2. Click on the Add to Class button.
  3. Course: Use the dropdown menu to select the Echo360 section you wish to publish to.
  4. Select the corresponding term to publish to
  5. Select the current section you wish to publish to.
  6. To publish a new lecture or video, select New Class, and enter the name of the video and date and time of the class period. Note: if you already created a placeholder for this video in your Echo Section, you can select Existing Class.
  7. Description: Enter a description for the class here.
  8. Make available: Choose when you would like to make the item available to students (Now, On a specific date, or Don't make available).
  9. Make unavailable: Choose when you would like to make the item unavailable to students (Never, or On a specific date).
  10. When finished, click the Share button to publish the content to the class.
