About Closed Captioning

Closed Captioning is required to ensure that video content is accessible to learners who are deaf or hard of hearing. Due to the costs related to captioning, captioning will be added on a case-by case-basis. Please contact the Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources to request captioning.

Echo Video has an automatic speech recognition feature (ASR) to auto-generate speech transcripts for recorded audio. While transcripts are different than closed captions, these can be updated to include closed caption notes.
