Adding, Removing, or Changing Media Channels

This guide will demonstrate how to add, remove, or change video or audio channels.

EchoVideo supports one audio channel and up to two video channels.

Changes will affect the entire media. If you wish to add a clip, refer to the instructions on Inserting Media.

Editing A Video

From the content library, hover over the video you wish to edit, click the button in the bottom right hand corner of the video thumbnail, and choose Edit Media from the menu that appears.

Adding a Media Channel

To add a media channel, click the plus button (+) labeled Media Channels on the left.

Note: If the selected meda already has one audio and two video tracks, the option to add a media channel is disabled.

A screen labeled Select Media will pop up. To add a second channel:

  1. Use the search bar to search for media by title
  2. Select the media from the list you wish to use
  3. Click the Next button to continue.

You will now be presented with a screen labeled Channel Options:

  1. Select a Channel: If the video selected has two video channels, you will be asked which channel to add.
  2. Audio Options: Select whether to replace the existing audio track or discard the audio associated with the selected media and keep the original audio
  3. Click the Confirm button when finished.

Once you are finished with adding the selected media channel, it will now appear in the filmstrip.

Replacing a Media Channel

To replace a media channel:

  1. Locate the channel you wish to replace and click on the ellipsis menu button [...}.
  2. Select Replace Channel from the menu that appears on screen.

A screen labeled Select Media will pop up. To replace a channel:

  1. Use the search bar to search for media by title
  2. Select the media from the list you wish to use
  3. Click the Next button to continue.

Deleting a Media Channel

To delete a media channel:

  1. Locate the media channel you wish to delete and press the ellipsis button  to the right of the channel name.
  2. Select Remove Channel from the list.
Warning dialog box asking 'Are you sure you want to remove this channel?"

A warning dialog box will appear on screen, asking "Are you sere you want to remove this channel?". Click the Remove Channel button to remove the selected channel.

The selected media channel will now be removed from the media.
