Blackboard will auto-generate discussions (or journals, if selected) according to the name of the course. Use the radio buttons to select 1 or more prompts. If you'd like an assignment about a specific topic, you can use the options in the left menu to generate a new list:

1. Add a description of the topic;

2. Select content already in the course from the course items. Files that are supported include PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text, RTF, and HTML.

3. Select a cognitive level from the drop down or use Inspire Me for a mix from Bloom's Taxonomy.

4. Use the slider to select complexity level.

5. Select or deselect the check box for assignment titles.

6. To regenerate a new list of assignments, select Generate.

After using the radio buttons to select any assignment(s),

7. Select Add.

You don't have to give your Discussion or Journal a title before creation; AI
Design Assistant will do it for you! You can edit any of the auto-generated content after it is added, including title or details of the prompt.

Blackboard will add the new Discussion or Journal. The settings, including grading, can be updated in the Discussion or Journal settings.
