This article will cover how to use Blackboard's AI Design Assistant to create an auto-generated assignment. For more information on creating Assignments visit: Blackboard Ultra Course Assignments.

Hover to an area where the new assignment will be located. Select the plus sign.

Select Create.

Select the Assignment option.
Select the star icon to auto-generate an assignment.
Blackboard will auto-generate assignments according to the name of the course. Use the radio buttons to select 1 or more assignments. If you'd like an assignment about a specific topic, you can use the options in the left menu to generate a new list:
1. Add a description of the assignment;
and/or
2. Select content already in the course from the course items. Files that are supported include PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text, RTF, and HTML.
3. Select a cognitive level from the drop down or use Inspire Me for a mix from Bloom's Taxonomy.
4. Use the slider to select complexity level.
5. Select or deselect the check box for assignment titles.
6. To regenerate a new list of assignments, select Generate.
After using the radio buttons to select any assignment(s),
7. Select Add.
Blackboard will add the new assignment. The Assignment Settings can be updated.
