Hiding Inactive Students in the Gradebook

Updated on

Blackboard Learn Ultra allows instructors the option to hide inactive students (e.g. students who have dropped or withdrawn) in the Gradebook. Hiding students helps simplify the Gradebook, allowing faculty members to work more efficiently. In Learn Ultra, this task can be accomplished as an option in the Grade Center Settings. This guide will demonstrate how to hide inactive students.

The Gradebook Settings panel will open on the right. Scroll down until you reach the heading labeled Students Visibility and click on the selector to enable the option. The selector will then change to green with a checkmark to show the option is enabled.

This option will hide all unavailable students from the Gradebook. If you need to view data for one or more hidden students, you would need to turn this option off.
