Grading Discussions

This article will provide instructors with information on grading discussions.

Grades on Left Navigation Panel

Select Grades on the left navigation panel for a direct link to grading.

Left of the points possible provides a space to enter a grade.

Grades can also be entered by selecting a students name, for more information see: Selecting a Students Name for Grading

1. The grade has been entered.

2. The grade has not yet posted to the students grades until Post has been selected.

Select Post and Blackboard will require to Post Grade. After you post grade, students can view the grade an any feedback provided.

Now, the student's grade that is posted will be viewed in the Students Blackboard under Grades on the left navigation panel or under gradebook within the course.

Selecting a Students Name for Grading

Select the name of the student to link for grading a selected student.

1. Name of student.

2. Select back arrow to move to previous student.

3. Select forward arrow to move to next student.

4. Activity provides how many responses and replies.

5. Left of the total grade provides a space to enter a grade.

6. Select the box with a plus sign to add a comment.

7. Select the elipsis, 3 dots, to have the option to edit feedback or hide analytics.

8.  Highlighted areas will indicate where the student responded and replied.

9. Blackboard gathers analytics and data.

Enter a Course and Select the Gradebook

Select Activity Stream to view new discussion posts.
