This guide will demonstrate how to add auto generated questions to a testbank.
Creating or Opening a Question Bank
To access Question Banks, click on the Manage Banks link in the Details and Actions panel to the right of your course content in your Blackboard Learn Ultra course.
On the next screen, you will see a list of all question banks in the course.
- Click on the test bank you wish to open.
- Or to create a new test bank, click on the divider between question banks and click on the plus sign that appears.
- Select New from the menu.
Adding Auto-Generated Questions to a question
With the selected test bank open, hover over the divider at the top or the bottom or between questions and select Auto Generate questions from the menu.
Auto-Generating Questions
- Define questions: In the Description field, enter a short description to use to generate questions.
- Select course items: Click on the Select Course Items button to select course items to base questions on.
- Question type: Select the type of questions you would like to generate (Essay, Fill in the Blank, Matching, Multiple Choice, True/False) or choose Inspire Me to generate a variety of question types.
- Complexity: Use the slider to change the complexity of questions generated.
- Number of questions: Use the slider to specify the number of questions to generate, from 1 to 10 questions.
- When finished, click the Generate button to create questions.
Generated questions will appear on the right. Use the checkboxes to select the questions you wish to add to your test, and click the Add to Question Bank button in the bottom right corner to add the selected items.
Finishing Up
The selected questions will now be added to the testbank. Please be sure to check automatically generated content for accuracy and relevance.
