Attaching a File

This guide will demonstrate how to attach a file to an assessment.

Assessments with Text or File attachment elements cannot have questions randomized. However, users can create question pools to randomize questions within a set.

This is for Ultra Course View, go to Original Course View.

Attaching File to a Test or Assignment

To add a file to the assessment canvas:

  1. Hover over the dividing line between elements and click on the + buttons
  2. Select Add Local File from the menu

A system window will pop up, allowing you to select a file from your computer to upload.

You will now see a popup dialog box labeled Edit File Options

  1. Display Name: Use this field to modify the displayed name for the file. The default is the original file name
  2. File Options: Users can select View and Download, View Only, and Download Only to determine how end users can interact with the uploaded file.
  3. When finished, click Save to upload the file.

Finishing Up

Once the file has been uploaded, click the Save button to finish uploading the file.
