Grading Schemas

This article will cover grading schemas within Blackboards Gradebook.

Accessing Gradebook Settings

  1. Log into your course and Select the Gradebook tab from top menu.
  2. Select the gear icon for settings.

Select Manage Grade Schemas.

Creating a New Grade Schema

Select the plus sign to add a new grade schema.

1. Enter a name.

2. Select Add.

By default, Blackboard will create 2 Grane Name and Grade Range %. Hover between to add new columns/rows, select the plus sign.

  1. Provide a Grade Name.
  2. Provide a Grade Range.

Select Save.

Editing a Grade Schema

  1. Click on the grade schema in the left column you wish to edit.
  2. Click on the pencil icon to change the grade schema name.
  3. Click on the copy button to create a duplicate grade schema.
  4. To edit a schema entry, click on the ellipsis button.

This will present you with the option to edit or delete the selected row.

You can then modify the grade name and the grade range values. Click the Enter key on your keyboard to save the new values.

To create new rows, hover between items and select the plus sign.

Using Grade Schema in Gradebook Columns

To use the new Grade Schema in a Gradebook Column, select the drop down arrow to choose new Grade Schema.
