Blackboard Learn Ultra permits instructors to create the following question types:

• Calculated numeric
• Calculated Formula
• Hotspot
• Matching
• Multiple Choice
• Fill in the Black
• True/False
• Essay

In addition, instructors can also add question pools, text blocks, and files. However, the addition of text or file elements do not allow for the randomization of test questions.

Once questions have been created instructors can assign points for each item. Once points are assigned, instructors can choose to enable or disable document submission on the assignment page. Instructors can choose to allow different point values for different items, but instructors cannot specify an overall score for assessments with questions. In this case, the overall score is automatically calculated based on the total of all questions and cannot be changed.
