Activity Stream provides a centralized location for notifications like due dates, new grades and new content across all courses as well as institutional announcements. The stream is sorted into Today and Recent categories.
- Select Activity Stream to see what's new across all courses.
- To go directly into the course from this list, select the course link.
- Filter to Show All, Assignments and Tests, or Grades and Feedback
Activity Stream Categories
Activity stream items are grouped into categories to make the list easier to scan:
Today: See everything happening and due in the next 24 hours, including institution-wide announcements about emergency notifications and updates. If an instructor added a course announcements, they appear here or in the Recent section for students.
Recent: Activity from previous dates.
Notification Settings
At the top right the gear icon provides access to update notification settings for Stream, Email, and Push.
Stream
1. Performance alerts allows instructors to assess student performance with a collection of Blackboard tools.
2. Hit the Save button after making any changes.
My Grades and Activity
New notifications for grading will appear in instructors Activity Stream.
New Calendar Event
Activity Stream will keep instructors up to date with new Calendar of Important and Upcoming events.
Blog Activity
Blog notifications will let instructors know when there is a new entry posted, edited, and a comment was posted.
Journal Activity
Journal notifications will let instructors know when there is a new entry posted, edited, and a comment was posted.
Wiki Activity
Wiki notifications will let instructors know when there is a new entry posted, edited, and a comment was posted.
Email Notifications
Instructors can choose how often and which activities receive notifications for.
1. Email me right away: Receive individual notifications for each activity you choose from the list.
2. Email me once a day: All notifications are collected and sent once a day.
3. Hit the Save button after making any changes.
