Clearing All Student Submissions

This guide will demonstrate how to clear all student submissions and grades for an assignment.  Note: Grades and submissions will be deleted permanently.

Accessing the Grade Center

Log into your Blackboard course and go the Control Panel:

  1. Click on Grade Center.
  2. Select Full Grade Center.

Clearing Students' Attempts

To clear attempts for all students, click on the chevron in the column header and select the option labeled Clear Attempts for All Users.

Select the parameters for clearing attempts:

  1. Attempts by Criteria: Specify a criterion for clearing attempts: Last Attempt, First Attempt, Highest Scored Attempt, Lowest Scored Attempt, or All Attempts.
  2. Attempts Between Dates: Or specify a date range to clear attempts.
  3. Once you have selected the desired option, click the Submit button.

Confirmation

You will receive a dialog box asking you to confirm clearing students' attempts, and reminding that the action cannot be undone.  Click OK to confirm, or click Cancel to exit.
