Hiding/Showing a Grade Center Column from Students

The instructions below show how to hide a column from students.

Note: Hiding a column from students does not remove the column from Grade Center calculations.

To access the Full Grade Center, first click on Grade Center in the Control Panel and then select Full Grade Center (shown below).

Hiding a Column from Students

  1. Locate the column that you wish to hide from students, and click on the chevron in the column header.  
  2. Select Hide from Students from the menu that appears.

A column that is hidden from students will be indicated with a dark circle with a red slash through it, meaning that students will not see the column listed in their grades.  Note: if you choose Hide from Instructor View, that option will hide the column from the Grade Center, but the column will still be shown to students.  To release a column that is hidden to students, simply follow these instructions.

Showing a Hidden Column to Students

  2. Select Hide from Students from the menu.
