This article will cover how to use Blackboard's AI Design Assistant to create auto-generated test questions. For more information on creating tests visit: Blackboard Ultra Course Tests.

Hover to an area where the new test will be located. Select the plus sign.

Select Create.

Select the Test option.
Select the plus sign to start a new test question.

Select Auto-generate question.
Blackboard will auto-generate test questions based on the course title.
1. Select 1 or more of the checkboxes to use the question(s). If you'd like different test questions based on specific learning outcomes, follow steps 2-7 below:
2. Add a description or learning outcomes;
and/or
3. Select content already in the course from the course items. Files that are supported include PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text, RTF, and HTML.
4. Select a question type, inspire me will use all question types or choose essay, fill in the blank, matching, multiple choice, or true/false.
5. Use the slider to select the level of complexity.
6. Use the slider to select number of questions from 1 - 10.
7. To regenerate a new list of assignments, select Generate.
After using the checkboxes to select questions,
8. Select Add to Assessment.
